Man charged for importing opium & large amount of cash seized
 A 43-year-old man from Bella Vista in Sydney’s northern suburbs is set to appear in Sydney Central Court today after the Australian Federal Police (AFP) charged him with importing opium into Australia.

DEALERS behind a drugs den where police found more than £30,000 of cocaine are today behind bars.  A huge stash of the class A drug was found, along with cash and Rolex watches, when officers raided two homes in Gateshead after residents complained the pushers were making life a misery for the community.

Customs Make £5.8m Drug Haul In Frozen ChipsA man has been accused of smuggling £5.8 million-worth of heroin, cocaine and cannabis in bags of frozen chips.
Otto Landman, from Eesveen in the Netherlands, appeared at Dover Magistrates' Court today.
He denied attempting to smuggle the drugs into the UK and was remanded in custody.

£130k cannabis haul 'smuggled from China
26-year-old man has been in court in Belfast charged in connection with what a magistrate described as a "sophisticated and organised" drug smuggling operation between China and Northern Ireland.
